Activating Members

How do you allow your members to have their account activated? Do your members automatically gets activated after registering? or do you have to activate them? Which is the best? Admin, E-mail or Automatic Activation!? Admin Activation is good if you're getting people jealous of your forum who spam and try to hack your forum, E-mail activation is the best I think, It prevents people who have fake e-mail address to register and prevents some spambots and spammers, Automatic Activation is quite risky as anyone can register, including spambots so if you have automatic activation enabled, then you probably have a huge chance getting spammers, What do you think is best!? Lets discuss.

I think E-Mail activation is the best. That's what I did when I had my forum.

I hate when it's Admin Activation... because it takes to long and by the time they do it I forget about the site.

I like E-mail activation the best, it protects from spambots and some spammers, but if you're getting loads of spammers, you surely need admin activation on..

Nah I hate Admin activation even if spammers were coming I probably wouldn't put it on....I like Auto but E-,ail is the best

E-mail activation for sure.

I don't like either, but if I had to have one on it would be email activation.

I used to activate with both until I confirmed that the hippy spammers had left UniverseWars.

fuckthat. autoactivation is the only way to go. email doesnt send, adminactivation means i never visit the site again unless i plan to drag it out into the street and beat it until it PISSSSESSS BLOOOOOOOOOOOD.
